It all started when...

I was 19 years old when I first entered the world of Bridal and I haven't looked back. I started as a Bridal consultant at "The Village Shop & Bridal Salon". I was the youngest employee the owner ever hired... she saw something in me and trusted her gut. Lucky for me she did because I fell in love with everything Bridal and quickly became the top Bridal Consultant. After a few years I got married to my wonderful husband and moved away to live closer to his family. On the hunt for a new job I found myself driving past a Bridal Salon with a "Help Wanted" sign in the window. The next day I walked in and was hired on the spot! This is were my Bridal skills grew... I worked again as a Bridal Consultant at Helen's Bridal for a few years then moved up to store manager. I organized bridal fashion shows, promoted the store on Toronto's Breakfast Television "The CN Towers First Edge Walk Wedding", local Rogers TV and met with reps from various bridal designers to preview and purchase new gowns for the store. It had been an exciting career thus far learning the various sides of the bridal business.

But it didn't stop there I was soon approached by one of the top bridal seamstresses to become an apprentice. She said she saw something in me and wanted to pass down her knowledge to someone who would appreciate it. This was an opportunity I could not pass up so I took her up on her offer and for the next 3 years I sewed. It was the most challenging and rewarding thing I have ever done and I am so grateful to her for taking me under her wing. I fell in love with alterations because it showed me another side of the customer experience. I had always been on the side of helping our brides "find the one" but after you find the dress the experience doesn't stop alterations can be just as emotional.

I love being a Seamstress & Bridal Stylist because I get to meet new Brides there family and friends. Listen to there love story and share with them a beautiful part of there lives. I truly enjoy what I do and that reflects in the services I provide.
